One time I was exposed to entrepreneurship was when I took part in a program through the Jewish Community Center called the Social Innovation Fellowship. This fellowship involved introducing high schoolers to entrepreneurship skills, and included a 10 day trip to Israel. Israel is a fairly new nation, yet is among the world's best in innovation, as they rely on it to survive in the Middle East. One part of the trip that I still think about to this day was visiting the water desalination plant in Ashkelon. Being surrounded by sea water, and a large part of the country taken up by desert, it is hard to supply drinking water to the whole country, and it was amazing to see the innovation and entrepreneurship involved in that whole process.

I enrolled in this class, ENT 3003, because I am a business student, and I believe no matter where I may end up in the business world, it will be important to have entrepreneurship skills. While I am majoring in finance, I can easily take the skills I learn from this class and apply them to the financial future I aim to accomplish.
