Idea Napkin No. 2

1: I am a student here at the University of Florida from Baltimore who is attempting to earn a Master's in Finance. I am a big fan of music, sports, spending time with friends, meeting new people, and most of all, success. Growing up, I was involved with student government, entrepreneurial cohorts, and teaching at my local Hebrew school on Sundays. I came from attending a small private school, which was a very different environment than what I am currently living in, so being able to succeed here, so unknown and far away from home, is a skill that I am proud of. I have always felt a need to best represent the groups I am involved with, which has led me to demand change.
2: I am offering a more efficient traffic light at the corner of West University Avenue and Southwest 13th Street. It will decrease traffic and the amount of accidents and risk for both cars and humans. The way it will do this is by being able to sense the amount of people waiting at a certain part of the light, and switch right of ways to that side of the light. Also, it would rotate more frequently.
3: This product targets residents in Gainesville that often maneuver around that intersection. It is located in a popular area, with The Standard, The Holiday Inn, Publix, and the Heavener School of Business nearby.
4: People care about this issue because we live in a society where everyone is trying to accomplish everything in the fastest time possible. Due to this traffic light, however, people must either wait up to ten minutes to go through the light or drive/walk illegally. Especially while trying to get to class on time, or bringing back groceries, waiting 5 minutes feels like 10, 10 feels like 20, and so on. This traffic light interferes with our schedules.
5: I believe something that sets me apart is my ability to converse and verbalize my opinions, as well as the opinions of my peers. I am not afraid to take my viewpoints to the higher authority, and help them realize the flaws in their system. Hopefully I can eventually do that while sitting in a room with the people in charge of the traffic lights.

I do believe these elements go together. Throughout this whole assignment, the topic of leadership was often brought up, as I want to promote change for the people. This inspires my want to fix the traffic lights at this intersection. Through this class, as well as my other experiences, I will figure out the best way to accomplish that feat.
Two feedback points I received were to expand upon my idea (2) and to communicate better my trait that sets me apart (5). I elaborated on both of those.
