Final Reflection


After reading the posts from this year, the most formative, memorable, joyous, and proud moment was asking my friends what my "special sauce" was. It made me feel really good to hear all the positive qualities my friends believed I possessed.
Now, at the end of this class, I definitely see myself as more of an entrepreneur than I did at the beginning of the semester. I possess much more of an entrepreneurial mindset.
One recommendation to students going down this path in the future is to embrace failure. To foster that mindset, they must not be afraid to take risks. Something that will allow students to succeed in this class is to make sure to hand in work on time, and to use a creative mindset.

Celebrating Failure

One time I failed this past semester was when I tried to cook steak on the grill for my girlfriend and I's anniversary. I am not much of a chef myself, so I called up my father, figured out what to buy, how to prepare it, and I was set, or at least I thought so. I bought the steak, marinated it the night before, and it comes time to go upstairs to the roof of The Standard to cook. Well, I had no idea how to work the grill, and after 20 minutes of pushing random buttons and fearing that I would burn down the apartment, we left. We ended up making it on the stove the next day, so it was fine, but in the moment it was a shame that I could not do this for her. I learned a couple of things from this experience. First and foremost, I came home a couple weeks later and learned how to work a grill. Halfway Reflection

1: Some behaviors I use or improve in this class include critical thinking, self reflection, and learning perspectives. Also, I procrastinate less often than usual due to the scheduling of the workload. 2: One moment I considered giving up is actually right now, as it is late, and I was considering not doing this assignment, and thus, not receive the credit. However, I realized that this sacrifice in the short run will help me out in the long run. Another example is when I run for exercise, including high school cross-country and track, I often think about taking breaks to walk, as it would be more comfortable. However, something that always comes to my mind is the faster I run, the faster I'm done. Over the past 2 months, I would say I have become more tenacious. Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 1

The segment I have chosen for my product are the people in Gainesville who maneuver around the intersection of West University Avenue and Southwest 13th Street. It is not enough to simply be in the area, as travel around this specific area is the main struggle that must be fixed. Typically my target customers would use this intersection to travel daily. My first interviewee is my girlfriend Elanit, who lives at The Standard. She mentions that the traffic light interferes with her life and schedule daily. For example, she sometimes must carry loads of groceries from Publix to her apartment at a time, and it can be frustrating to hold on to that much weight for an unnecessarily long period. While waiting, the first thing she does is decides if it is more worth it to wait her turn or to illegally walk across the street, as besides that, there is no other choice.
